Salary: £20,000 – £22,000

Sightsavers is looking for a proactive, passionate and professional Supporter Care Executive to join our award-winning supporter care team. The team delivers the supporter care enquiry services for Sightsavers and responds to calls, emails and correspondence from both the public and our supporters. The team prides itself upon its innovation, high standards and collaboration that inspires our donors and supporters. You will be helping to deliver excellent supporter care across Sweden, Norway, Ireland and the UK, building strong and loyal relationships through written and verbal communication and further strengthening the relationship that Sightsavers has with its supporters.

The Supporter Care team are looking for a team member who is passionate about what we do and passionate about supporter care. We need someone with superb communications skills and a desire to help. We want an exceptional team player who will give the very best not just for themselves but for the team as a whole. We are looking for someone who has outstanding written, verbal and listening skills. The successful applicant will work hard and make a positive impact to both the team and Sightsavers.  We also need someone who has a keen eye for detail and aims to achieve the very highest standards.

We need you :

  • To build rapport with supporters to deepen their engagement with Sightsavers through the delivery of an inspiring supporter care experience
  • To be a champion of our supporters, identifying opportunities to make that experience even better
  • To become expert in various aspects of Sightsavers’ work, in order to engage supporters on the topics that interest them
  • To encourage and inspire other team members, sharing in team and individual successes and contributing to an open and supportive environment

We’re looking for someone who is proactive, passionate and professional and who believes in our vision. It is vital that our supporters receive a high standard professional service that will lead to an enhanced relationship with Sightsavers, financially or not, and to encourage them to persuade others to join and support the fantastic work that we do. It is important that the post holder knows what matters to our supporters by offering enthusiastic and impressive customer service.

The ideal candidate will have experience in a customer service environment handling enquires via telephone, letter and email. The ability to manage multiple priorities, work to deadlines and ensure service levels are met, is essential for this positon, as is an understanding of data entry, good typing skills and excellent inter-personal skills. Prior experience of working for an NGO is an advantage but not a requirement.

We anticipate that interviews will take place at our offices in Haywards Heath on Wednesday 6 February.
