Project Finance Officer – Inclusion Works

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Project Finance Officer to join our team and support the Assistant Accounts Manager and partners under the leadership of the Finance and Support Services Manager (FSSM). This role is responsible for the day-to-day financial management of the Inclusion Works project supported by UK AID.

Reporting into the Country Office Finance and Support Service Manager, you will be handling financial transactions in compliance with local regulations and adhering to the organisational Financial Framework with specific respect to the implementation of financial management and controls, financial planning and budgeting.  Other duties include working collaboratively with the Country Office team, supporting the programme team with joint review of programme/ project reports, planning and analysis and supporting the FSSM with the proper financial and resource management of the project.

The ideal candidate will have good experience and knowledge of accounting, data processing and report generating and substantial work experience, ideally gained within an INGO environment. Experience of country tax and VAT laws and donor rules and regulations especially DFID are vital for this role. Programme/ project management and administration would also be advantageous.  The ability to explore and analyse data and produce effective reports is also central to this role. A sound knowledge of local labour laws with excellent oral and written communication skills is also required. This is an involved role and further details may be found in the job description.

  • A Master’s degree in Accounting
  • Extensive working experience in accounting and financial management, ideally with an INGO or reputed NGO.
  • Experience of working together with government, corporate sector and programme fund/grant management.
  • Proven experience on financial reporting using SUN system.
  • Good command of Microsoft Excel, Word and other related software.
  • Excellent communication skills in English.
