Procurement Specialist – Neglected Tropical Diseases
Salary: £27,700 – £32,600 per annum

Sightsavers are currently seeking an enthusiastic and confident Procurement Specialist to be responsible for the effective delivery of procurement services, ensuring the process is in in line with organisational policy and donor requirements, that all products are safe, meet international standards and offer the best value for money.
The primary focus of the role is the procurement of equipment and consumables within Neglected Tropical Diseases, while also focusing on other product categories in support of our education and social inclusion programmes.
It is vital for the Procurement Specialist to have a very good understanding of the product categories for the thematic area of focus, as well as a good knowledge of suppliers. They will promote a client-focused, collaborative approach with a quality, results driven attitude and a drive to improve performance.
The ideal candidate will be educated to A-level standard or equivalent and have strong knowledge of international procurement, preferably in the relevant thematic areas (NTD’s). A great understanding of rolling out processes and procedures, international development programmes, maintaining databases, providing management information and the ability to effectively support a diverse customer base will also be an advantage.
It is important for the Procurement Specialist to have a working knowledge of NTD products and suppliers, be an analytical thinker and able to generate innovative and practical solutions to challenge issues and have an excellent attention to details.
