Location: Benin – Cotonou
The Country NTD Manager will lead on programmatic management for the implementation of the trachoma, STH, SCHISTO, FL and onchocerciasis elimination programmes and on integration of mass drug administration against Neglected Tropical Diseases (NTD’s). Responsibilities will also include delivery of NTD programme targets, provision of programme management guidance and direct technical support to build the development of integrated NTD programmes and advocacy for the elimination of NTDs on a national basis.
As the Country NTD Manager, you will utilise your experience of strategic programme and project planning and development, as well as collaborate with key stakeholders to plan, develop, implement and scale up mass drug administration and support of NTD Programmes.
You will also provide effective Programme Management, including the management, coordination, technical advice and resource allocation necessary to support the country programmes to deliver NTD targets as well as establishing relationships with partners including the Ministry of Health, to assist integration of programmes into the existing public health delivery systems. You will finalise donor narrative, provide financial reports and lead the annual work plan and budgeting process as well as support coordination activities of WASH/NTD sector.
Other duties will include:
- Leading on the development of Monitoring and Evaluation systems of NTD Programme performance
- Assist in preparing budgets
- Ensure proper partner accountability
- Ensure good People Management practices
- Represent Sightsavers at national and international forums
- Assist in the disseminating of information on NTD activities
- Developing and maintaining good relationships with partners, stakeholders and other NGO’s at national and international level
As the successful Country NTD Manager, you will have strong technical knowledge of one or more of the five leading NTD’s, experience of managing an integrated NTD programme in Africa within an international context and a demonstrated record of accomplishment in developing and managing public health programmes.
Fluency in French and English is essential.
