Communications Officer

Sightsavers is looking to recruit a motivated and determined communications officer to play a key role in helping us raise the profile and awareness of our programme, policy and research work to a diverse range of audiences.

We’re looking for a passionate and committed individual to join our busy team and help us identify and develop key messages and compelling stories from across our work and turn these into engaging and targeted communications for audiences including the public, donors, NGOs and the wider eye health and social inclusion sector.

The right candidate will have significant communications experience, be confident developing communications plans, and experienced in developing on and offline communications products and content to deliver on these plans. Some experience communicating complex research or technical content would be an advantage.

If you’re passionate about the difference compelling communications can make, are equally comfortable working as part of a team as you are taking initiative and working independently, have a creative flair and can write clear, concise and compelling copy for a range of channels, this is the role for you.

Interviews will take place at Sightsavers office in Haywards Health and candidates will be asked to conduct a short exercise as part of the interview process.
